Quincho Loft
This design constitutes the first part of a bigger project, for which its owner needed a small house to live in. Thus, we proposed building a loft at the back of the property, in a place that would later serve as the house’s (which would be built in the front part of the property) quincho.
We thought of a project that would be perfect for entertaining friends, and that would integrate exterior and interior spaces. We took 12m of the property, from border to border, and placed it next to the rear façade, opening it up to the big yard that resulted in the front. On the bottom floor, we designed a lounge at a double-height with the dining room, integrated with the kitchen and grill area. The pool, which is right next to these spaces, provides freshness to the surroundings. The suite bedroom was placed on the top floor.
The superior volume is a white prism resting on dark planes over the transparent bottom floor.
I love how the spaces are all connected. You come out of the sauna, and walk into the lounge, and then to the pool from there; all of the spaces are integrated and connected with the exterior.
